SingHaiyi-led Group Sells 23% of Jurong Condo Sora’s Units at Launch

This past weekend, the latest residential project in Jurong Lake District, Sora, saw impressive sales figures. By 6 pm on Sunday (July 7), developers SingHaiyi and TK 189 Development announced that 102 units, or 23.2 percent of the total available, had been sold at an average price of S$2,160 per square foot (psf).

Of the 440 total units in this 99-year leasehold development, 320 were put on the market over the weekend. The one-bedroom units with a study were particularly popular, with more than 80 percent sold. The remaining units sold primarily consisted of two-bedroom units and two-bedroom units with a study.

Raymond Chia, CEO of SingHaiyi, noted that over half of the buyers are under 40, reflecting both the rejuvenation of the Jurong Lake District and confidence in Sora’s potential. “A home like this – in the heart of the dynamic Jurong Lake District – especially at this price point, was very well-received by the market,” he said.

PropNex Realty CEO Ismail Gafoor highlighted that the launch attracted a broad range of buyers, with only 30 percent coming from Jurong and Clementi. “The launch weekend saw a healthy interest from buyers residing beyond the western areas,” he remarked.

The strong interest in Sora parallels the buzz surrounding The Lakegarden Residences, another notable development in the area. Both projects contribute to the evolving landscape of the Jurong Lake District, drawing attention from a diverse pool of buyers.
